MK TATTOO CONVENTION IS BACK AND BIGGER THAN EVER

The region’s biggest Tattoo Convention is coming to Milton Keynes on Saturday 20 July and Sunday 21 July 2013.

Held at Kentshill Park Training & conference Centre, the MK Tattoo Convention, in its 3rd year, is expected to attract over 4,000 people during the weekend – but it’s not just about tattoos. The weekend extravaganza is being plugged as very much a family event that includes a huge range of activities for all such as live music, comedy, entertainment and even face painting.

However, this IS about the wonderfully diverse creativity of the tattooing and piercing world where visitors will be able to see some of the most exotic works of human art from the glamorous to the extraordinary and to the downright bizarre. 100 tattoo artists will showcase their work – some will come from as far as America - and all will compete in a spectacular competition of skill and raw talent.

The event is being hosted by Milton Keynes’ MK Ink Studio in Broughton and will feature some of the biggest names in the tattooing industry from all over the world.

Organiser, Samantha Neptune said: “The old perceptions of tattooing are long gone and this kind of event really allows those passionate about tattooing and art express themselves and showcase their work to a wider audience. This is a great event for Milton Keynes and is growing year on year attracting people from all over the country and world.”

The weekend will also include, Comedians, a Snake Lady, Reptiles, Fire-Eaters, the Rock A Belle Revue Burlesque Troupe, Live Bands; Break Dancers; a Hog Roast; Shisha Garden and MUCH more. The Star Wars Storm Troopers will also be patrolling the event!

MK Ink is also keen to express the safety of tattooing and piercing and is offering advice for anyone looking have a piercing, tattoo or even tattoo removal; Samantha adds: “Making a permanent change to your body is a big decision and should not be taken lightly. There is good professional advice out there and what better place to hear it than at the MK Tattoo Convention.”

The venue is Kentshill Park, Swallow House. Doors open 12pm on the 20th and the doors close around 9pm. Doors will open again Sunday at 11.30 and close at 7pm.

This is a family event and children under 16 go free of charge.

Ticket prices start at £12 which can be purchased via www.mktattooconvention.co.uk or MK Ink tattoo studio. MOTD at £15.00 and full weekend tickets £18.00

The event also includes: 800 free parking spaces, 300 rooms for accommodation, licensed bars and restaurant, free wifi, air conditioning and local amenities.
