The summer might be nearly over, but there was plenty of heat at Frosts in Woburn Sands at the weekend with their annual Chilli Festival, which this year was bigger and hotter than ever.

Over the three days, visitors were ‘transported to Mexico’ with an authentic live Mexican band and live chilli cooking demonstrations and tastings.

Visitors were able to admire and try over 30 home grown chilli varieties and many other chilli inspired food and products from jams to chilli beer!

All of Frosts’ Chilli plants are lovingly and naturally home-grown in their nursery at the Woburn Sands site and are of the freshest quality ready for customers to try. From the cool Caldero to the fiery Scotch Bonnet – they’re guaranteed to give you great taste and are also perfect for ornamental use.

Not everything was too hot over the weekend, there was also plenty to keep the children entertained including baby micro pigs and a ‘Chilli’ hunt.

Managing Director at Frosts, James Frost said “This is the second year of our Chilli Festival and we have again demonstrated how it is possible to grow your own plants in the UK and the fun you can have with horticulture. Although the weather felt more like October, we certainly added a touch of heat to the weekend.”
